Today I am gona share Sponge cake recipe using Pressure cooker. Few days back after long time i meet my school best friend and had lots of chit chat 🙂 During that chit chat she told me about simple easy cake recipe using pressure cooker. And It’s really simple to do and then i tried it. we loved it.
My Daughter wanted her birthday celebration(cake cutting) every weeks hahaha  Yeah, Really !! . Because of her i decided to do cake at home once a weeks.


Preparation Time :  10  Min           Cook Time : 30 Min         Serves : 4-5 

Ingredients : 

  •  Maida/All Purpose Flour        –  1  Small Bowl
  •  Sugar                                            –  1 small Bowl
  •  Milk                                              –  1 small bowl
  •  Egg                                                –  1
  • Vanilla essence                          –  1 tsp
  •  Baking Powder                          –  1 tsp
  •  Biscuit                                          – 4/5 (optional)
  • Almond


Sponge Cake Recipe Step By Step With Pictures (Using Pressure Cooker ) : 

Step 1 :  Take Measurement of all ingredients  which is shown below.


Step 2 :   Add sugar,milk grinder and grind well. Then add maida/ all purpose flour, egg and grind well.

Step 3 :  Now add baking powder, vanilla essence grind well. For different taste you can add biscuit (optional) and grind well for 1 min.

Step 4 :  Tin with butter and dust with flour.  Then Shift the batter into the pan and add some crushed almond.


Step 5 :  Take cooker and  do steps which shown below.( Do NOT need the whistle and no need to add water ) Bake the cake for 30 mins in medium flame. My cake take perfect 30 min for bake but You can test with a toothpick or skewer to make sure the cake is cooked through.


Step 6 :  Once baked ,remove the cake from the Pressure cooker and leave it in the tin for 5 to 10 mins.  Once you remove the cake from the tin, Leave it on a wire rack to cool.

Step 7 : Enjoy !!



Remember This : 

  • If you don’t want an eggless sponge cake, add 3 eggs instead of the milk.
  • If you want pure veg cake add cooking soda instead of egg. 
  •  Bake the cake in an oven pre-heat oven to 180C/350F and bake for 30-35 mins until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre.
