I have make this potato/aloo as a quick side gravy dish to go with poori, chapatis or steamed rice. It can be prepared with less effort and time, in just 10 Minutes, you can make this recipe for your hubby and kids for their lunch box. Follow my quick/easy recipe with step by step pictures.
Preparation Time : Less than 5 min Cooking Time : 5 min Serve : 2
- Potato – 2 Big size
- Tomato – 1
- Onion – 1
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Salt – as needed
- Curry leaves
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Step by Step Method :
Step 1 : Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add curry leaves, cumin seed. When cumin seeds and curry leaves begin to crackle then add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste,chopped tomato. Stir to mix well saute’ until onion’s color will changes to light brown.
Step 2 : Add spice powder ( turmeric, red chilli, masala powder, salt to taste) mix well. Cook until oil start to separate.
Step 3 : Now add Peel off the skin of potato and dice it like this as shown below in the picture. Mix well and cook for a min.
Step 4 : Add a cup of water( if you want u can add more) , coriander and close the cooker. Cook for about 2-3 whistle on high flame.
Step 5 : Serve hot with poori, Chapati or rice .
