Aloo patties with crisp outside soft inside is a real treat to taste buds at anytime. Make this aloo patties by following the step by step pictures recipe.
SERVES : 1-2 PREP & COOK TIME : 12-16 MIN
- Potatoes/aloo – 2 (medium size)
- Green Chillies – 2-3
- Ginger, Garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Gram Flour – 3-4 tsp
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Corn flour – 2 tsp
- Asafoetida – pinch
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ajwain/carom seed – 1/2 tbsp
- fennel/sauf seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon( optional )
- Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil For shallow frying
STEP BY STEP METHOD WITH PICTURES :
STEP 1 : Grate the potatoes and squeeze out excess water. Add Green chillies, coriander, ajwain, cumin,fennel/sauf seeds and mix well.
STEP 2 : Now add besan/gram flour, salt, red chilli powder, corn flour, Lemon juice(optional ) mix very well.
STEP 3 : Heat non stick flat pan. Shape into flat patty shapes on the palm of your hand. shallow fry and cook until bottom surface turn golden brown.
STEP 4 : Turn over and fry the other side of patties. Once done , then drain the patties on paper towels to remove excess oil.
STEP 5 : Serve the patties hot with ketchup. Best for kids snack.

- Potato – 2 Big size
- Tomato – 1
- Onion – 1
- Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Salt – as needed
- Curry leaves
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Step by Step Method :
Step 1 : Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add curry leaves, cumin seed. When cumin seeds and curry leaves begin to crackle then add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste,chopped tomato. Stir to mix well saute’ until onion’s color will changes to light brown.
Step 2 : Add spice powder ( turmeric, red chilli, masala powder, salt to taste) mix well. Cook until oil start to separate.
Step 3 : Now add Peel off the skin of potato and dice it like this as shown below in the picture. Mix well and cook for a min.
Step 4 : Add a cup of water( if you want u can add more) , coriander and close the cooker. Cook for about 2-3 whistle on high flame.
Step 5 : Serve hot with poori, Chapati or rice .
